Built for Vision Request, an experimental staging of works by sixteen artists at Andrea Zittel’s A to Z West compound in Joshua Tree, Pixilated was an enormous, lighter-than-air, programmable pixelated display constructed using a grid of specialized helium balloons set aglow with integrated LEDs.
